Wine & Liquor Sales Policies
- Inventory
- Inventory updates daily on our web site. Please keep in mind that we also sell our wine inventory from our retail store which can make limited availability, hard to find wines sell out quickly. Once your order is received we will contact you as soon as possible if there is a sold out, vintage change or back order situation.
- Age Requirement
- The purchase of alcohol by persons under the age of 21 is prohibited by law. By placing an order through our website, you are representing yourself to us as at least 21 years of age and that the person to whom it is being shipped is at least 21 years old. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order.
Title to the wine you order passes to you as soon as it leaves our doors; it is up to you to know the relevant laws in your state.
An adult signature with proof of age verification is required at time of delivery. Someone over the age of 21 must be available to sign for the package. If no one is available at the time of delivery, the package will not be left. Because of this, we suggest you ship to a work address. We cannot ship wine to PO Boxes or APO addresses. - Pick Up at World Cellar

- Delivery is available for the Denver metropolitan area. Please call for delivery rates and day/time available for delivery.
World Cellar ships via Federal Express:
- Ground Service – 2 to 5 business days
- 2nd Day Air
- Standard Overnight
- Priority Overnight - Before 10:30 AM
We will contact you immediately if there are delays in processing or transit. - Weather
- Please consider extreme temperatures when shipping wine. We recommend using next day or 2nd day shipping to avoid having your order be exposed to the extremes of hot and cold for an extended period in transit. Please Note: We are not responsible for wine that arrives damaged due to heat or cold, so please plan accordingly when you choose your shipping option.
- Restrictions
- Please note that many states have laws on the shipment of alcohol that prohibit us from shipping to addresses in those states. Minnesota residents are prohibited from ordering online, but may place an order by calling us at (303) 690-1035.
The shipment of distilled spirits and beer is currently prohibited. These items are available for local delivery in the Denver area and for pickup in our Aurora Shop. - Billing Information
- Orders placed on this website are not final. Your credit card is not charged automatically. A charge is put on your credit card after the product has been packed and the order is deemed complete. Please note that all credit cards are verified. You must provide a billing address that corresponds to the credit card you are using. If the billing address does not match the credit card you will be informed and the order will not be processed until we hear from you.
- Shipping and Handling Costs
- The shipping costs are automatically calculated at the time the order is placed. If you would like to know the shipping cost to your location please sees our shopping cart. Federal Express shipping rates are coordinated into our cart so that you can choose that best method for shipment after you have selected your products. Our shipping containers hold 1, 2, 3, 6, or 12 bottles of wine. Shipping rates are based on zone, size and weight. Please keep in mind that shipping 6 or 12 bottles is not significantly more that a 1 or 2 bottles. There will be a small additional charge for your shipping container and handling.
- Legal Disclaimer
- The buyer assumes title of the wines once purchased. By arranging for transportation of the wine, we are providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import any wines into any state. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of wine and other goods purchased and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the wine shipped to your desired location
